2026 Iran War Result of Bush's Disastrous Iraq Invasion 23 Years Ago

 

March 30, 2026 -- The 2026 war with Iran is a reminder of what disastrous policies in the past can lead to. Twenty-three years might be a long time ago for many people, but yesterday's debacle has caused today's destruction. 

The 2003 illegal invasion of Iraq, which was essentially sold on a fraud (i.e. non-existent "weapons of mass destruction"), destroyed the nation and people of Iraq, killing more than one million people, displacing millions of others, costing the American taxpayers over $2 trillion dollars, strengthened Iran which with its nuclear and missile programs and control of Iraq and the region making it the greatest threat to peace in the region.

Prior to 2003, Iran's bullying terror menace was checked by Iraq's power.  The balance of power in the Middle East between Iran and Iraq was destroyed by the Bush invasion and allowed Iran supreme rule in the region controlling nations like Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Yemen and even areas like Gaza. 

The Bush policies of appeasement towards Iran, which continued under Obama and Biden, allowed Iran to develop a nuclear program and a ballistic missile program in addition to the spread of terrorism throughout the Middle East through proxy militias, slaughtering millions in Iraq and Syria. 

The Bush Administration installed Iran's puppets in the new Iraqi government in 2003 and allowed them to spread their influence throughout the various branches of government, with their corrupt leaders fraudulently "winning elections" because they controlled the election commission, awarding themselves huge government contracts on fake non-existent projects while the water, sewage, electric, education, and health infrastructures waste to uselessness and deteriorate towards nonexistence. 

In addition, the Bush catastrophic policy of firing the Iraqi military and security apparatus and replacing them with Iran's militiamen, caused a bloody civil war. The Bush policies in Iraq installed a new sectarian apartheid regime in Baghdad, eliminating Sunnis (both Arabs and Kurds) as well as Christians and other groups from positions of power, to make way for Tehran's elite sectarian proxies. Over 100,000 Sunnis are still locked up in Baghdad's jails, with fraudulent charges, many of whom have not even been tried. 

Now these Iranian proxies in Iraq, installed by Bush and allowed to flourish  by Obama and Biden, and unchecked by any other power in the country, are now firing missiles and drones at U.S. targets and U.S. allies in the region.

The current war to destroy Iran's nuclear and ballistic weapons programs are a direct and proximate result of the Bush policies that empowered and embolden the Tehran regime. Even the Obama/Biden nuclear deal with Iran included as a condition for Tehran, suppressing the Iraqi election results which had a secular Sunni-Shia alliance under Ayad Allawi who won the elections.  The Obama Administration which had Biden leading the negotiations with Iran, forced Allawi to give up his win to make way for Iran's proxy Nuri Al-Maliki to take office. 

It was Iran's proxy, Al-Maliki who worked with Syria's dictator Bashar Al-Assad to bring the ISIS murderers from Syria and take over half of Iraq causing mayhem and destruction, and to justify Iran to form the Baghdad version of Iran's Revolutionary Guards, called the "Popular Mobilization Forces " PMF (Al-Hashad Al-Shaabi). 

It is this PMF and it's allied militias that have been firing on US and allied targets in Iraq, Syria, and other countries. The Iraqi government is powerless to stop them, because Iran will not allow them. 

If anyone is to blame for the 2026 war with Iran, it should be the Bush Administration which established the Iranian hegemony over the Middle East and the Obama and Biden Administrations which continued to fuel it. It is Iraq's oil wealth, stolen and siphoned off by the Iranian proxies in Baghdad and diverted through fraudulent means to Tehran that is financing Iran's war machine. Only when Baghdad is liberated will Iran go bankrupt and be defeated.  Although the missiles and uranium are in Iran, the bank is in Iraq.  Iraq's wealth needs to be liberated from the Tehran's henchmen. 

Syria is now free of Iranian rule, after its liberation in 2024. Iraq also needs to be liberated from the Iranian Frankenstein. Hopefully if Iran is defanged, the peoples of the Middle East can breath a sigh of relief.
